J.E. CAUDELL
ATHENS, Ga. - J. E. Caudell, 76, formerly of Athens, died at 8 p.m. Saturday in Waycross following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Caudell was born in Banks County and had lived in Athens for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Athens Shrine Club, and was a seed dealer.
Survivors: one brother, P. G. Caudell, Sr. of Baldwin; four half-brothers, Hermit and Louie Caudell, both of Baldwin, Yncs. John K. Caudell of the U. S. Navy, Wayne Caudell of Jefferson; six half-sisters, Miss Cora Caudell of Cornell of Cornelia, Mrs. Christine Ivester of Cornelia, Mrs. Roy Lee Andrews of Dewy Rose, Mrs. Clyde Donahue of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. J. A. Goza of Tucker, Mrs. John R. Comer of Decatur; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home, Monday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Joe Hester officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
