Faye Ragsdale Caudell
TOCCOA, GA - Mrs. Faye Ragsdale Caudell, age 85 of 64 Prather Bridge Road,
Toccoa, GA passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Clary Center.
A daughter of the late Oscar and Bertha Kesler Ragsdale, she was born May 6,
1923 in Banks County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens
County. Mrs. Caudell was a graduate of Franklin County High School where she
was Miss Franklin County in 1940. She attended Athens Business College and
was employed with the Toccoa Record. After marriage to Roger she traveled
with him from base to base with his flight training in W.W.II. Faye and
Roger were partners in Caudell's Hardware and Farm Supply for 40 years and
later involved with Caudell Realty. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers,
Palmour, Charles and J.B. Ragsdale. Mrs. Caudell was a member of the Toccoa
First Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Roger Caudell of the home, son
and daughter-in-law, Elliott and Reba Caudell of Toccoa, 3 grandchildren:
Laura Caudell of Birmingham, AL, Stephen Caudell of Toccoa, Wes Caudell and
his wife Jordan of Birmingham, AL, sister, Sara Mize of Augusta, GA, 2
sisters-in-law, Mary Ragsdale and Lou Ragsdale both of Toccoa, aunt, Laverne
Kesler Addison of Elberton, GA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Tuesday from the Sanctuary of the First
Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Jim Nelson and the Reverend Dr. Henry
Fields officiating.
The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Caudell, 276 Cross Creek
Lane, Toccoa, GA and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from
5 until 8 PM.
The following will serve as pallbearers: George Camp, Ronald Payne, Mike
Holcomb, Richard Harrell, Dale Mize, Bill Ragsdale, Eddie Ragsdale and
Russell Caudell.
Interment will be in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Faye Ragsdale Caudell.
